Things You'll Need
Turkey or goose quills you can also use other bird feathers if you wish
It should have a stout quill and be about 10 inches long
Cake pan
Sand
Oven
Small knife
a scrap of ribbon
Ink
Paper
Metal quill nibs found at craft stores ( Optional )
Preheat your oven to 450 degrees. While the oven is preheating, pour a generous amount of sand into a cake pan and spread it evenly.
Step 1: Cut the tip of a quill. A turkey feather will make a fine quill. Cut the middle of the shaft about half an inch. Cut other side away.
Step 2.Place the cake pan with the sand into the oven. Leave the sand in for 15 minutes or until it is hot.
Step 3. Slide the tips of the quills gently into the hot sand and allow the sand to cool. If you want to hasten the cooling process, place the cake pan in the refrigerator for 10 to 15 minutes.
Step 4 : Sharpen the one side to a point. Dip the end into ink then brush off the excess ink. You don’t have to press down hard to get the ink off. The tip will quickly get dull. To sharpen it wash off the ink and then sharpen it. or insert the Metal quill nib into the feather shaft along with ink tube

Dragon Blood ink: Recipe 1
4 oz. Transparent Alcohol (vodka works well)
2 tsp. Dragons Blood (powdered resin)
1 tsp. Pure Vanilla (tincture)
1 tsp. Lavender (tincture)
1 cinnamon stick
2 cloves (optional)
Dragons Blood Ink may be used for writing out spells, inscribing on talismans, Rituals, highlighting items within your journal or book of shadows and more.
Mix all together in an tightly sealed jar. Shake until mixed well. Place in dark cool cabinet. Bring out once a day and shake up to stir for seven days. Test the ink by placing your pen, needle or toothpick in the ink, then test on paper. If color is dark enough for you it's ready to use. If you would like it even darker then add more resin and repeat the shaking. Test everyday until you have the desired color hue
Dragons Blood Ink Recipe 2
2 oz of powdered true Dragon's Blood Resin (it's the Key Ingredient)
4 oz. Transparent Alcohol (vodka works well)
1 oz of Arabic Gum (for making the solution more Colloidal so that the ink stays on the Pen)
1 oz Cinnamon or Myrrh
Mix all together in an tightly sealed jar. Shake until mixed well. Place in dark cool cabinet. Bring out once a day and shake up to stir for seven days. Test the ink by placing your pen, needle or toothpick in the ink, then test on paper. If color is dark enough for you it's ready to use. If you would like it even darker then add more resin and repeat the shaking. Test everyday until you have the desired color hue

2 drops cinnamon oil
1 oz Sandalwood powder
2 drops bay oil
4 oz. Transparent Alcohol (vodka works well)
1 oz gum arabic
2 drops rose oil.
Mix all together in an tightly sealed jar. Shake until mixed well. Place in dark cool cabinet. Bring out once a day and shake up to stir for seven days. Test the ink by placing your pen, needle or toothpick in the ink, then test on paper. If color is dark enough for you it's ready to use. If you would like it even darker then add more resin and repeat the shaking. Test everyday until you have the desired color hue
Raven's Feather Ink
2 oz of powdered true Dragon's Blood Resin (it's the Key Ingredient)
1 teaspoon iron oxide, A.K.A rust (finely powdered)
4 oz. Transparent Alcohol (vodka works well)
3 teaspoons Gum Arabic (ground)
1 black feather (found)
Find a black feather in the woods or other natural area. Burn the black feather, and collect the ashes.
Steep the powdered rust in the alcohol until dissolved, then add the feather ashes, Mix all together in an tightly sealed jar. Shake until mixed well. Place in dark cool cabinet. Bring out once a day and shake up to stir for seven days. Test the ink by placing your pen, needle or toothpick in the ink, then test on paper. If color is dark enough for you it's ready to use. If you would like it even darker then add more resin and repeat the shaking. Test everyday until you have the desired color hue
Raven's Feather Ink: recipe 2

1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
13 teaspoons clear alcohol

1 Owl Feather Found
Burn the owl feather, and collect the ashes.
Steep the powdered rust in the alcohol until dissolved, then add the feather ashes, Mix all together in an tightly sealed jar. Shake until mixed well. Place in dark cool cabinet. Bring out once a day and shake up to stir for seven days. Test the ink by placing your pen, needle or toothpick in the ink, then test on paper. If color is dark enough for you it's ready to use. Witches Love Ink
4 empty walnut shells (crushed)
1 cup of water
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 ounces Rose or Lavender oil
4 oz. Transparent Alcohol (vodka works well)
3 Drops of human blood ( Yours )

1. Put the walnut shells into the paper bag, then crush them with a hammer (on the ground).
